Resep Nasi Kandar

Instructions



1. Rinse the rice thoroughly and drain the water. Set aside.
2. In a medium-sized pot, heat the coconut milk, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and star anise over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
3. Add the rice to the pot and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid. Cook the rice for 18-20 minutes or until it is fully cooked.
4. In another pan, heat the ghee or butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are golden brown.
5. Add the minced garlic and ginger paste to the pan and cook for another minute or until fragrant.
6. Add the coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, and garam masala to the pan and stir to combine.
7. Add the chicken, beef, or lamb to the pan and stir to coat the meat with the spices. Cook the meat until it is browned on all sides.
8. Add one cup of water to the pan and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the meat is fully cooked.
9. Season the meat with salt and pepper to taste.
10. To serve, spoon the rice onto a plate and top it with the meat and curry sauce. Garnish with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions.
